Last night was the private view of the exhibitions, and it was both a surreal and amazing experience!
More information, and photos etc, about the exhibitions to follow, but in the meantime here are some related articles:

The programme launches 15th July! Here’s a picture of a test image earlier in the week:
Visit Unit 38, Hornsey St, London N7 to see the end result. 10am-6pm, every day.
Chasing Shadows is part of Islington Exhibits, an initiative to unlock hidden venues in Islington and give artists and craftspeople a space to display their work. It takes place on 15-31 July 2013. Visit www.islingtonexhibits.com for more information and the full programme of exhibitions and events.
Islington Exhibits is produced by Rowan Arts with support from Cripplegate Foundation, Arts Council England and Islington Council.
After a nice long break where I stepped back from exhibiting in favour of taking lots of photographs without looking at them, I have won one of two Artists Awards in Islington Exhibits 2013, running from 15th-31st July!
For this exhibition I will be revisiting Chasing Shadows as a large scale, site specific installation.

At the weekend I went to the alley behind Gibson Gardens to see if the first picture was still surviving…
When I got there I found a very large (but unlocked) gate, and through it the whole alley had been cleaned up. But the picture was still there, and someone had set out a garden chair in front of it so you could sit down and look straight into the picture! I was thrilled!

the night of the first cherry blossom – i have no real idea why…
the shots are all a few seconds, during which the wind shakes the trees. the camera’s handheld, so my movement’s recorded also.
shot this in whitehall a few summers ago…
keep meaning to do more, properly.
I took these around 2007-2008. Someone described them as being “so honest they’re like being run over by a lorry”. I don’t know about that, but recently I’ve been thinking I might like to have another go.

Meanwhile, in the alley behind The Auld Shillelagh part 2 is long gone, but in the alley behind Gibson Gardens part 1 is still going strong:
